Veterans Day is November 11th! To thank our Veterans, VVHS is creating a Veterans Day Honor Wall. If you know a Veteran, please encourage your child to complete an honor slide. Students create, students submit, and we will print the slides for the Honor Wall and share the digital presentation.
1. Please select one of the slide templates.
2. Complete the information:
a. Name of servicemen & Student Honoring Veteran
b. Branch
c. Years of Service
d. Awards and Recognitions
3. Drop a picture of the servicemen in the frame(s).
4. Customize with seals of the correct military branch if needed.
5. And Submit. That’s it.

We are thrilled to announce a collaboration between Valley View High School and South Texas College to launch a Fire Science Academy Program through the Dual Enrollment Program!
After a year of planning and partnership development, this week marked a significant milestone as VVISD Administration, South Texas College representatives, Hidalgo Fire Chief, and Assistant Fire Chief came together to finalize the Fire Science Academy timeline, promotion strategy, and upcoming student/parent information sessions.
What This Means for Our Students:
Through this innovative initiative, VVHS students will have the opportunity to earn BOTH high school AND college credit while pursuing their passion for public safety and emergency services. The Fire Science Program focuses on fire prevention, protection, firefighting, and the diverse career opportunities within this essential field.
Career Pathways Include: Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Firefighters, Fire Inspectors, Fire Investigators
And more!
We are incredibly excited to open these doors for our students and provide them with real-world skills and credentials that will serve them throughout their careers. This is just one of many ways VVISD is committed to creating meaningful pathways from classroom to career.

Only one entry per student.
No carved pumpkins
-Projects must represent a book character from a book/graphic novel.
-Entry form you must include the title of the book.
-Entry form must include the author's name.
-Project must be submitted with the book or with a picture of the book cover
-This is a home project and entries should be completed mostly by the students with parents or other family members assisting with brainstorming ideas and guiding with the project steps.
