First Day of School

Welcome back! The first day of school for the 2022-2023 school year is on August 22, 2022. Make sure to arrive at school on time by 8:10 a.m. Read the instructions on how to enter the campus if you are being dropped-off or driving yourself in the morning and after-school pick-up. Also, make sure to review the attached map for the drop-off entrance logistics. 1. Follow our school’s dress code policy daily. Uniforms are required daily Monday-Thursday with a school spirit shirt or uniform on Friday. 2. No hoodies or caps allowed at school. This is a safety issue. Hoodies and caps will be confiscated at the entrance. 3. Students being dropped-off or driving themselves will enter through Gate-1, which is at the back of the high school (by the junkyard). Gate-1 will remain open from 7:30 to 8:30 AM daily. See attached map below. 4. Students being dropped-off: Enter through Gate-1 and proceed to drive until you reach the roadway between the baseball field and the tennis courts. Turn north and proceed by driving to the New Gym area. Parents will drop off their son/daughter, then drive northward, and exit through Gate-7 (Visitor's side exit). Students will make their way to the breezeway located between the New Gym and Fine Arts building. Students will continue walking through the breezeway and make their way to M-31 blue entrance doors. Students pass through the metal detector to get cleared. Once cleared, proceed to the high school cafeteria, take a seat, and wait until the bell rings at 8:20 a.m. At this point, proceed to your class. 5. Students driving themselves: Enter through Gate 1 and proceed to drive until you reach the roadway between the baseball field and the tennis courts. Turn north and park your vehicle at the students parking designated area between the baseball field and tennis courts. This is the only designated parking area for students to park their vehicles. Get out of your vehicle and make your way to the breezeway located between the New Gym and Fine Arts building. Students will continue walking through the breezeway and make their way to M-31 blue entrance doors. Students pass through the metal detector to get cleared. Once cleared, proceed to the high school cafeteria, take a seat, and wait until the bell rings at 8:20 a.m. At this point, proceed to your class. 6. After-school pick-up: School releases at 4:10 PM. Enter through Gate-1 and proceed to drive until you reach the roadway between the baseball field and the tennis courts. Turn north and proceed by driving to the New Gym area. Parents will pick up their son/daughter, then drive northward, and exit through Gate-7 (Visitor's side exit).
