They concluded the program with a certification ceremony following their final exams, attended by proud parents ready to celebrate their achievements.

🐯 VVHS Tigers at UTSA: A Week of College Experience! 🐯
Approximately 40 VVHS students are spending a week at the University of Texas at San Antonio, taking real college courses and moving one step closer to completing their UTSA Spanish Minor by May 2027. Students are enrolled in TIS 3033 Interpreting in Medical Settings or TIS 3023 Interpreting in Legal Settings.
This is what dual credit opportunity looks like in action: our students earning college credit before they even graduate high school. Thank you to our parents for supporting this commitment, and to our teachers and sponsors for traveling alongside our students to guide and support them every step of the way.
Our students, teachers, and chaperones have arrived and settled into Guadalupe Hall, their home for the week.

Valley View was awarded a grant from the Texas Workforce Commission to promote STEM careers, specifically in Nursing, Welding, Drone Applications, Robotics, and Forensic Science. In collaboration with Regione One, UTRGV, STC, Hidalgo Police Department, and Rio Health Medical Clinic, Valley View has created a multi-week summer camp to provide a rich, hands-on learning experience.

The students had the privilege of speaking with Judge Rose Guerra Reyna of the 206th District Court, who shared her motivation for her chosen profession. Judge Guerra Reyna expressed her belief that having confidence in yourself, education, and passion can take you as far as you wish to pursue your future endeavors.
