Eight of our own Valley View HS Student Visual Artists have been recognized as TOP 35% IN THE NATION AMONG STUDENT ARTISTS, for 2021. With creativity, determination, and adaptability these students produced some truly remarkable artwork to distinguish themselves from thousands of other entries in this national competition. This is the fifth year in a row that our VVHS students compete and place at the top of the nation’s most talented young artists.

Along with this recognition, their artwork will be published this coming Fall of 2021! The winning tradition continues~~Big Congratulations to our talented Tiger Artists!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS goes out to our Valley View High School UIL Film students for being ranked as the Top 6 UIL Films in the State of Texas out of all 5A and 6A!! Out of all the films submitted to the state contest, only 82 were nominated for the Nobility Award Category. Out of these 82 films, 6 were chosen as being UIL State Finalists!! We are extremely proud to announce that our Valley View High School UIL Film Team was one group in this category!! The students worked since the summer on this film animation and guidance from their UIL Film teachers Mr. Leoncio Garcia and Mr. Randy Lerma. What a tremendous accomplishment, and what a way to represent Valley View ISD at the State Level!! Awesome job, UIL Tiger Film Team!!!

Congratulations to the Tiger Powerlifting Team for a tremendous job for the last two weeks at the Regional and State Powerlifting Meets.


Zuriel Garcia, Senior, did a tremendous job representing the Boys Powerlifting Team at the Texas High School Powerlifting Ass. State Meet in Abilene, Tx. and at Regional Meet, he took 4th place in the 123lb weight division. Cristina Monjaraz, Priscilla Basaldua, Jocelyn Duran, Jesly Muniz, and Naddra Gonzalez, All Seniors, did an outstanding job representing the Girls Powerlifting Team at the Texas High School Powerlifting Ass. Regional Meet at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Tx. Best wishes to all these student athletes in their future endeavors. Thank you for the years of hard work and dedication to the sport of Powerlifting here at Valley View High School.
