COLLEGE BOARD: VVHS is a public school with the largest number of Latino students scoring 3 or higher in AP Spanish Literature.

  ·         2009 – Present  Medical Spanish Minor Program

Valley View High School is the first one in the nation with a Medical Spanish Minor. Students can complete this academic project while they are in high school, everything is paid by the school district.


 ·         College Board: CollegeKeys Compact 2012 and 2013 Catalogs of Effective Practices (Way to recognize schools and institutions that are leading the nation with successful programs).

 ·         Valley View Independent School District receive a national recognition……2014 Districts of Distinction Award based on the Medical Spanish Minor Initiative (VVISD Spanish Medical Minor-South Texas College and University of Texas Pan American, in the College/career readiness category).
